Should I wear my brand colors?
Do you normally? If yes, then sure! If not, then I don’t think it’s necessary.
However you should consider the colours you wear and how they “go” with your brand colours. Make sure they don’t clash!
I’m not photogenic so…?
Whoah whoah whoah Stop. Right. There.
A huge majority of my clients (and the world) think they’re not photogenic.
I also believed the same thing about myself. The truth is, it’s a skill. Thankfully I have learnt it for you. This is officially my domain, just listen to my directions and let me show you your photogenic side!
Am I required to give a deposit?
Yes I take 50% non refundable deposit.
Shoots book up fast so taking a deposit keeps my schedule accurate. I understand life happens so If i’m given 48hr notice and the shoot is able to be rescheduled within 60days I will happily apply that deposit to your next shoot.
Do you have MakeUp and Stylists recommendations?
Yes. I can point you in the direction of talented hair and makeup artists. Make up will most likely take a minimum of 2 hours so make sure you schedule in time.
Can I upgrade my package at a later date?
Yes, you can upgrade your package up to 5 days prior to the shoot. I need time to adjust the schedule and plan for extra locations.
Do you offer prints, albums and frames?
Yes. In your own personal gallery there is also a shop where you can get your images in an array of forms. Shot by Char currently offer frames, calendars, greeting cards and prints.

Can I buy extra images?
Yes, you will have your own personal online gallery that you can access at any time. You can download extra images one by one or in packages straight from your gallery.
How about a wardrobe?
I know some brilliant experts who will give you a complete guide to colours and shape for your body type. Just let me know if you would like to hire some professional guidance. Overall a good rule is to bring more than you need. For ladies, heels are great for better posture and to help you feel sophisticated. If you love print, subtler prints are better. Block colours tend to work best.
What does the retoucher do?
I want you to look like you! Over retouched images are fast going out of fashion and that is a great thing. We are starting to see more big names take a stand against the over zealous edited images. People want real life. That is not to say your images are not retouched, they are, every pixel is expertly looked over. Colour tones in the skin are corrected to create even tones and bright skin, blemishes are removed as is lint from clothing and flyaway hairs. In a personal branding shoot you can select your images for this detail retouching, as full length images may not need it. All headshot images will go through this process as they are close ups. This process is highly attentive to detail and gives your images a polished high-end finish that still feels authentic.
What if you have to reschedule my photo session?
It is rare that Shot by Char has to reschedule a session, however, we do reserve the right to reschedule your session. In the event that Shot by Char need to reschedule your session (for example act of god, a government shelter in place order, it is not safe to get to you, etc.) Shot by Char will notify you via email with as much advance notice as I possibly can. Your session will be scheduled at no additional fee.
